Teen Titans: The Alien Girl from Tamaran by MangoSirene Teen Titans: The Alien Girl from Tamaran by MangoSirene
I just got Starfire photos back from Carroll~! We took these at Dragon*Con, where it was my first time wearing this costume. There are a few things I'd like to redo before wearing it again (such as the wig - the humidity in Atlanta made the bangs deflate a little), but overall I had such an incredible time being Starfire! She was a childhood hero of mine, so being able to bring her to life was a really, really great experience. I can't wait until we do our full Teen Titans group!

If you're curious about how I made this costume, check out my Cosplay Work Logs on YouTube! :D

EDIT 10/08/13: Oh wow, thank you all so much for such a positive response to this cosplay! It's really exciting! Just a few things I wanted to mention so I don't have to repeat myself a hundred times:
1. As I said already, the humidity/rain during the day caused the gravity-defying bangs to deflate, hence why the wig doesn't look 100% accurate. I'll be restyling them before I wear the costume again!
2. The purple fabric is spandex milliskin. The silver fabric is 4-way stretch spandex.
3. For the orange skin, I used Mehron Liquid Body Paint. It's not a spray tan! ;P
4. Yes, my abs are real. There's also more to the photo than just my abs, so if we could all move along...

If you have any other questions about the costume, please refer to the work log videos linked to above!

Amazing cosplay! You make a fantastic Starfire! I just have one question, where'd you get your wig? I'm having a super hard time finding a straight dark red wig with bangs.

I love the front center seam on the boot covers! I don't know if that was intention. Giggle

I'm not sure whether it was intentional or not, but how did you achieve the long bump on her boots? It looks like a seam but it ends at the toes, so I'm not sure quite what it is.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "long bump"? The boot covers have front and back seams which are simple zig-zag stitched; is that perhaps what you're looking at?
